Mission
To train, support and encourage investigators through information
sharing to preserve, recover, and analyze digital evidence in a
forensically sound manner for criminal, civil and administrative
purposes.
To provide digital crime prevention education to the public.
To promote knowledge of the impact of digital crime among senior
leaders, both in the public and private sectors.
Goals
To endorse high ethical standards and best practices in the investigation,
acquisition and examination of digital evidence.
To develop and provide quality support, education and training,
especially with respect to emerging technologies.
To promote and facilitate information sharing by and for HTCC members.
To raise the public’s awareness of the growing and ever-changing
problem of digital crime and to educate them how to best protect
themselves and their children, homes, and businesses.
Objectives
To form collaborative partnerships with public, private and nonprofit
organizations that enable HTCC to accomplish its goals.
To promote the work of HTCC and its benefits.
